Hubby BMT Day 11
Me went to vivo city today for Mummy's Day celebration! Last week we did not celebrate because my youngest sister has exams for the past week. When we got there, the queue was quite long~ I went up to Marche to check it out albeit knowing that the queue would definitely be super duper long~ My daddy suggested to try the Spanish food as the seafood paella is very nice. However, we did not try it because the queue is moving quite fast. Soon enough, it was our turn. The ambience and the view is very nice as you can see the sea and if you dine till about 9-10pm, you are able to catch the fireworks from the USS~! :D As my parents loved the lamb rack here, I decided to order that. I wanted medium rare but the waitress said that lamb would not taste as good being so raw,,, I changed to medium for the doneness.
When the food came, it was quite disappointing. The amount of fats the Rack of Lamb has is SO MUCH!!!!!!! The meat part was very small only. My family and I are quite disappointed. My Mummy ate the Hickory Chicken which is TOTALLY DIFFERENT from the picture in the menu~!!! :( Daddy's TENDERLOIN was GOOD~! It has no fats at all! Very tender and soft, just the right taste! There is a salad bar there and it is quite delightful. There are a range of sauces and condiments for the salad you take. There is the lemon dressing which is extremely appetising, good for an appetiser, there is also cream dressing, thousand island sauce, and many many more! There are also the dried raisins, bacon bits made from soy, sesame seeds, chips, and more to go with your salad. The MUSHROOM soup is a MUST-TRY if you like or you take mushroom soup. It is very thick and full of the mushroom bits. Their smushroom soup is considered homemade as you need to grind the mushroom up yourself and et-cetera. I have cooked a similar one before in my school so it really takes quite an effort to cook it and it is not easy to get the right taste. I ate it with the chips! I dipped the chips into the soup! :D Super NAISE~~~!!! I forgot to take pictures of my Daddy's Tenderloin though! The place is quite popular as it was 9 plus when we left yet there has been a steady flow of new customers coming in. There was quite a queue outside when we left too~!!!
