Road Trip Day 2
Today we ate lunch in School! Then We went to Carousel for DINNER~! Woohoo~! I did not take much picture though. The LOBSTER is a MUST HAVE~! The meat was sweet and chilled, with suitable amount of roe in it. I keep taking the lobster! The oyster is not bad too~! To me, raw Oysters in Singapore tastes about the same everywhere. This restaurant's oysters are quite fresh however, as I've managed to eat about 5- 6 oysters, which is on par with Buffet Town's raw Oysters too. The salmon sashimi is not bad too. Fresh and delicious, which is about there with Buffet Town too. The variety for cooked food is alright too.
I guess perhaps it is more for foreigners as the place is not very big yet quite a big portion is occupied by Singapore's local food. There is even Laksa Yong Tau Foo , Satay, and Rendang too if I did not remember wrongly. There are also Malay and Indian food, which are pretty much accessible outside. The cooked food's variety is not much.
AS I love potatoes, one of the "dish" is actually just boiled whole potatoes but is baked as it is dry and the skin is a bit crisp. I ate it with Sour Cream, which I think is the best combination a potato can have when eating it plainly. Hubby insisted on adding bacon bits though (=
The herbal prawn in herbal soup is a MUST TRY too~! The soup, even in such a small serving, is full of the herbal and prawn taste. It is not diluted at all~! The aroma was very rich too! The meat was succulent! The beef is not very nice too,,, it is only tender at the centre. The surrounding parts are not only hard, but it is literally tough.
I ate CHEESE~! Their cheese selection is not bad and I ate Salad too~! Their salad bar is average though, I would prefer the buffet at Furama Hotel. The salad bar has wide and much bigger variety than the Carousel. The cheese selection there has more variety too. I only remembered goat cheese as I loved its flavour. The ones at Carousel only had about 3 to 4 types of cheese. They are actually repetitive. The ones at Furama Hotel has about 5 to 6 types of cheese selection for you. The food and dessert there is not bad too~!
For the dessert I can say that it is not very satisfying for me. The flavours are I would say unusual and there is nothing that is really purely chocolaty as I LOVE CHOCOLATE! If you like to try all kinds of dessert, you might love the dessert bar. If you go there expecting a rich, chocolaty desert, you will be disappointed.
Overall, I would recommend you to eat at Buffet Town, which is located at Raffles City. I have been there for dinner on Valentine's Day. I guarantee you that the food there has a lot more variety and the price is really based on the amount of delicious fresh food you can get! I think the pricey Carousel buffet is based on the location and not on the food actually. Maybe it would be towards the cold dish only.
Anyways, if you LOVE JAPANESE FOOD, do go to the following outlets which are Japanese themed:
Kuishin Bo at Jurong Point. I have also been to the Great World City branch one. The price per person is a little bit pricey, approximately $50 or more for a person.
However, it is definitely worth it compared to 62++ for a person on a weekday, $75.00++ for weekends. I also managed to
The Hokkaido Crab legs are a MUST TRY! They also have BBQ food in the open area at the Great World City outlet. DELICIOUS!!!http://www.kuishinbo.com.sg/
Kiseki Japanese Buffet located at The Heeren basement. The price per person is 19.80++ for lunch and 29.80++. I tried the lunch before and the food VARIETY IS OVERWHELMING~! There is also the potato dish that I have eaten before at Marché ~!!!

If you love to eat buffet without any specific theme, you can go:
- The Square at Furama Riverfront Hotel. It is about $47++ (adult) for dinner. you may call and enquire them about the pricing. They usually have those 1-for-1 promotion with certain credit cards. They have won numerous awards too~!

After the buffet, Hubby an dI went to walk walk at Orchard. As we were both feeling quite warm, we decided to walk back to the car instead. Then I had an idea! I want to go Geylang see see~! I have never been to Geylang before! It was a different experience as I am very curious as usual haha~ I find that some of them are really pretty. I did not really understand. To me, if you really need to work that kind of job, I'd rather they work as social escorts. At least they do not need to sleep with so many men to get the same amount of money as sleeping with one man as an escort. :( After going a few rounds, we decided to go Bukit Timah to play pool but I fell asleep along the way home hee~! :D I am very happy today actually! Happy to have the one I love BESIDE ME ALL DAY LONG. ♥♥♥
I reached home quite LATE TODAY~! 12 plus woohoo~!!!
